September 2025 Meeting Highlights
At our September meeting, member Luci treated us to a colorful and inspiring program – “Lets Talk About Color!”. She showed us now to use colors in ways that are most pleasing to the eye. She gave us an excellent demonstration, showing us how the right shades can highlight our features and brighten our look. Luci even brought along a beautiful collection of scarves, which we each had the chance to try on to discover our colors. It was both fun and eye-opening to see how the right palette can make a difference!

2025 Open House
A huge THANK YOU from the ASG Columbus Chapter! We are so grateful to everyone who joined us at our Open House to learn more about our chapter. Your presence made the event so special!
A special shout-out to our talented members who shared their skills through make-and-take projects and hands-on demos. Also to Patrick for his expertise at our sewing machine tune-up station. Your creativity and generosity inspire us all!
And a very BIG thank you to the Fran Ryan Center for graciously hosting us! Their support made it possible for us to welcome our community into such a warm and inviting space.
Events like this remind us what ASG is all about – stitching together creativity, community, and friendship. We can’t wait to see you at our upcoming meetings and Sit & Sews!
2025 Fashion Show & Luncheon
This month we celebrated our annual fashion show with the charming theme of “Garden Party”. Members enjoyed a lovely lunch together before heading upstairs for a fantastic showcase of handmade garments. From florals to flowing (and even dancing!) silhouettes, the runway was full of creativity, talent and loads of personality. It was a beautiful day to celebrate together as a chapter.
Congratulations to all of the winners in each category, you all did an amazing job! Congratulations to the winner of a one-year membership, Nicole! Welcome to our chapter.
A huge thank you goes out to our fashion show committee for organizing this beautiful event, to everyone who generously donated items for prizes, to Joni for the cover stitch machine for our raffle, to our participants for their hard work and stunning creations, and to our guests for supporting our chapter.
We are also deeply grateful to the Hilliard Masonic Lodge for hosting us. The historic charm of the building added the perfect touch of ambiance to our garden party celebration.
July Sit & Sew
Our July Sit & Sew was all about rope bowl creativity! Sit & Sews are casual gatherings that are a great chance for members to “sewcialize” while working on projects. This time, Karen gave us a hands-on refresher on rope bowls, building on what we learned at our March meeting. Check our Announcements tab for more info about upcoming Sit & Sews.
Karen also created this stunning rope bowl basket as a prize for our fashion show! We will have photos from our fashion show soon, so stay tuned!

Many of our members chose to sew dresses for Dress A Girl Around The World – an organization that provides dresses to vulnerable girls in need. One of our own members proudly serves as an ambassador for this cause. To learn more, visit www.dressagirlaroundtheworld.com.
